Duration

Spend three hours in the forest near Bijagua on a hike that the whole family can enjoy. Your guide, a local certified naturalist, leads the way along the trail and helps you find the birds, snakes and other life that most people walk straight past.

The trail follows the water up through the jungle, and the river is home to some interesting birds. Birds of this habitat include the Torrent Tyrannulet, Fasciated Tiger-Heron, Black Phoebe, Dull-mantled Antbird and White-whiskered Puffbird. Wildlife is wild, so every walk is a little different, but your guide knows where to look and is happy to answer every question.

At the top, there is a swimming hole where you can cool off before heading back down.

Every tour is private, so we go at your pace. The trail can be a bit slippery and steep in places, especially when it rains, so good shoes and a little care on the trail help. If you have questions about whether this hike suits your group, send us an email or call us at 8314 9784.
