Frog's Paradise is a small reserve close to Bijagua and one of our favourite places to spend time with the forest's smaller residents. Over 2.5 hours we walk its flat, easy trails together, stopping often to look closely at leaves, branches and stems where frogs and snakes like to rest.
The reserve is a wonderful way to see many species of frogs and snakes, including the much-loved Central American Eyelash-Pitviper. Your guide is a local, certified naturalist who knows where to look, how to observe the animals respectfully, and how to help you take a good photo without disturbing them.
Because every tour is private, we go at your pace, linger where you want to linger and answer every question along the way. The gentle trails make it a lovely outing for the whole family, from young children meeting their first tree frog to keen nature lovers and photographers.
