Duration

Difficulty
Easy

This is a gentle first look at the wildlife of Bijagua. Over three hours we follow easy trails at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time to stop, look and ask questions. It was designed with families and beginners in mind, so no experience or special fitness is needed.

Along the way your guide helps you look for some of the area's best-loved animals: colorful toucans and motmots in the trees, tiny hummingbirds moving between the flowers, and sloths and monkeys resting or feeding in their natural habitat. Wildlife is wild, so every walk is a little different, but your guide knows where to look and how to help you spot and identify what's around.

Your guide is a local certified naturalist, and the tour runs as a private group, so we go at your pace and share as much or as little as you'd like to learn. Start times are flexible to fit your schedule.

It suits first-time visitors to Costa Rica, families with children of any age, and anyone who would like a calm, comfortable introduction to birdwatching and wildlife spotting.
